About Me

I am twenty years old, number four in a family of nine kids.
Homeschooled since birth, and I plan on staying a homeschooler until the day I die.
I'm currently going to Northland International University.

I like to do crafts.
Usually things with yarn (crocheting, knitting, etc. ).
Lately I'm hoping to take up spinning (especially as one of my older sister's has angora rabbits and is offering to let me spin their wool if I learn how and become good at it).

I'm thinking of going into architecture as a career because I love making things that are useful and beautiful.
Even if other people disagree with my opinion, but I do not like most of modern architecture.
I prefer the intricacies found in old architecture.
Corinthian and Ionic columns are fun, and I love different kinds of arches.
There are very few sky scrapers that I like, but of the ones I've seen I like the ones that use multiple kinds of material on the outside that create an interesting affect.

I'm a history nut.
Especially in medieval and ancient times.
The more I learn about history, the more backwards my time seems to be.
From what I know of my country, very few people know what their history is let alone are able to make it.
If I ever become a teacher, I would want to be a history teacher or a social studies teacher (they're the same thing, right? :P ).
I love lots of things from the Victorian era, and I study a lot of my country's history in order to hopefully make good decisions (You do know our country was founded as a republic? Just look at our pledge of allegiance).

I like feminine and old fashioned stuff, and if I can I want to be a stay at home mom one day.
I like pearls and diamonds, I can't decide which I like better, but I'd much rather have elvish or dwarvish covered jewelry.
:)
My favorite color is purple, and I love long dresses/skirts because I feel pretty in them.
I'm growing my hair out, and hope to learn how to put it up in lots of pretty ways.

I'm a reading nut.
A bibliophile.
I love Tolkien (he's a genius in languages), and C. S. Lewis is amazing.
I love Clare B. Dunkle's series the Hollow Kingdom (I highly recommend it).
My first dystopian was Lois Lowry's The Giver, and I found it quite fascinating.
I love Brian Jacques books, even if they can be predictable at times.
Shannon Hale wrote the best version of the Goose Girl that I've read yet.
Lori Wick is my favorite Romance author, I lover her Kensington Chronicles.
Frank Peretti is my favorite horror author, I love his children's series.
Francine Rivers wrote an amazing book called The Last Sin Eater that is historical fiction.
Lauraine Snelling wrote an amazing historical fiction series called Red River of the North.
Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow by Orson Scott Card are the first Science Fiction novels that I've read. I'll add more when I think of them. :)

I'm a beginning writer.
I've really been making up stories for as long as I can remember, and I've been writing them since I was 10 or so.
I'm calling myself a beginner because I've started a class this last year called One Year Adventure Novel (I highly recommend it) and I'm really seeing how to write things now.
I've completely written one novel and am outlining a second. :)
